The truth about about male pheromones.

Male pheromones are what make women go wild. Every man has male pheromones, it's just that some have stronger, more potent ones than others. Male pheromones are released, ironically, from sweat glands. This means that potentially sweat will turn on a woman, if she can get past the body odor.

Even if you aren't looking to attract women, there are other uses for male pheromones. In one study, researchers applied male underarm secretions to the lips of 18 women between the ages of 25 and 45 and found that the male pheromones in the sweat induced feelings of relaxation and calm in the subjects. None of the women were aware that they had applied male sweat on their lips and all of them reported feeling less tension and more relaxed over the 6 hour study period.

Scientists also observed that exposure to male pheromones prompted a shift in blood levels of a reproductive hormone called luteinizing hormone. This hormone is known to surge right before ovulation and so this phenomenon shows us that women become more ready for intercourse with exposure to male pheromones. This may be why we sweat during sex: to help the ovulation process and pregnancy.
